Privacy Policy
Your files stay on your network. The app talks directly to your server — your file names and contents never pass through us or any cloud.
The app
Files and servers. The servers you add (address, shared-folder path, and the numeric User ID/Group ID you choose) are stored only on your device — and, if you turn on iCloud sync (a Pro feature), in your own iCloud account, which we cannot read. The files you browse, download, upload or preview move directly between your device and your server over your local network. We never receive, store, or have access to any of this.
Cache. Files you preview or share are cached temporarily on your device so reopening them is fast. Clear it anytime in Settings → Downloaded Files. Nothing in the cache is ever uploaded to us.
Analytics. The app reports anonymous usage events (connects, failures by error kind, feature use) via Firebase Analytics, with no identifiers that single you out. The “Learn More” links on this site carry only the error kind, app version, platform and NAS family — never your server address, export path or IP.
Advertising. NFS Files is free and supported by ads through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction, diagnostics, and coarse location where enabled. On first launch we ask for consent (Google’s consent form, then Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt) before personalized ads. Change tracking permission anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Pro. The optional one-time NFS Files Pro purchase removes all ads. Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store payment information.
Support email. If you email support, your message (and whatever you choose to include — server model, error text) lives in that mailbox and is used only to answer you.
This website
This help site is static pages on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log standard web-server data (IP address, pages visited) per the GitHub Privacy Statement. Pages carry one Google AdSense unit (hidden for Pro users); Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads — see How Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy above. Visitors in the EEA/UK see a consent message before non-essential cookies.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, contacts, photos or browsing history, and we operate no servers that receive your data. We have no account system.
Children
NFS Files is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It is a utility for accessing your own network file shares.
